Work smarter, not harder.
Strengthening our feet and ankles is at the base of good posture, balance, stability, and movement efficiency. It also helps us stay injury-free.
It is paramount to strengthen the foot's intrinsic muscles. There are a variety of exercises that we can do to target them specifically, plus myofascial release and stretching.
Here's a simple routine to get started. Aim to 20-30 reps per exercise, and build up to circuit x2-3.
But there are also things we can implement in our daily routine to accompany and maximize the benefit of such training: barefoot walking and wearing barefoot-style shoes are one of them.
Build consistency in your training by gradually going barefoot for some time during your daily routine!
